Folklore Ensemble CAJAVEC 

Bosnia & Herzegovina

Folklore Ensemble „CAJAVEC“ was established on Maj 1952 and during that it elaborated and performed in public more than 40 choreographies from all parts of ex Yugoslavia. Folklore lovers remember this top-level amateur Ensemble under the name of  „Karlo Rojc“, in period from 1959-1993.

The ensemble were performed more than 6.000 concerts in their country and abroad, which  were watched by more than million people.

KUD „CAJAVEC“ has very rich holdings of national costumes, and some of them are original patterns more than 80 years old.

That is why this Ensemble is one of the best in Bosnia but also in the Balkans.

ARFAN

Youth folk dance ensemble “ARFAN”

Folk dance ensemble “Arfan” is a youth group founded in 2002, that consists of 50 people, including orchestra. Young artists act with live accompaniment. Used folk instruments are the ossetian harmonica, doli (drum), clarinet.

Creative work, the repetitions, concerts, contests, dance festivals, master classes – are all what the young artists of the ensemble are living for.
Their successful performances delighted the audience of all ages not only in their native Republic and cities of Russia ( Nalchik, Stavropol, Sochi, St. Petersburg, Moscow) but also abroad (Turkey, Italy, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia), demonstrating the mastery of performance, acquainting the public with the national folklore and traditions, disposition and way of life, not only of the Ossetian people, but also with the art of the peoples of the North Caucasus.

Folk dance ensemble “Arfan”, won the cups winners, diplomas and higher awards at Republican and all-Russian competitions, festivals and International forums dance outside of their country. The unanimous recognition and a prize of spectator sympathies – the most beautiful reward!

FOLKLORE BALLET OF PERÚ
“RITMOS DEL TIEMPO” ARE A FOLKLORE BALLET COMPANY COMMITTED TO THE PROMOTION OF PERUVIAN CULTURE. THE COMPANY HAS 45 DANCERS AND 12 MUSICIANS. THEIR COMMITMENT IS TO ALWAYS DEVELOP THE BEST ARTISTIC WORK.

THEY HAVE A 7-YEAR EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING DIFFERENT SPECTACLES ON PERUVIAN CULTURE. THE GROUP HAS PARTICIPATED AND HAS BEEN AWARDED IN FESTIVALS IN GERMANY, PORTUGAL, SPAIN, POLAND, HOLLAND AND BELGIUM.

Dance and Songs Ensemble “Aytugan”
Ufa – Republic of Bashkortostan ( Russian Federation )

Dance and Songs Ensemble “Aytugan” was created in 2010 on the basis of the Ufa State Aviation University. The members of the ensemble are students of the university, as well as some members are students of the fuel and energy college.

The members of the ensemble do not only perform on the scene but also devote much time to a research activity. They collect & treat the little known works of singing & dance folklore, try to restore the olden Bashkirian and Tatar peoples rites. The repertoire of the ensemble is rich & various. It includes Bashkirian & Tatar folk dances and songs as well dances from different parts of the Russian federation.

The performances of the ensemble enjoy great success at each stage they perform. Professional ability, youth , charm, violent passion, bright colorful costumes – all this arouses great interest and sympathy towards the young performers.

Ensemble “Aytugan” became laureat of international competitions “The Diamond of the East” and “On the Wings of Talent” , and has repeatedly participated and became a laureate of the annual republican competition Student Spring.

BAEK HYUN SOON Dance Company – Korea

BAEK HYUN SOON Dance Company, founded in 1991, has performed in Korea and abroad more than 100 times, including in Italy, Greece and Turkey.
It gained public support by regularly performing creative and traditional dance performances every year, and won the Presidential Award at the Korea Dance Festival last year, drawing attention for its original dance moves and fusion performances using video clips.
The program of the group includes a variety of choreographies as :
Buk Chum (Drum dance) – an exquisite harmony of traditional Korean percussion.
Samulnori – a modern chamber adaptation of the farmers’ dance and music which was performed outdoors. This music is played by four percussion instruments.
Korean Fan dance – one of the most popular and well-known movement pieces from Asia. The bright pink fans and dresses combined with graceful movement have thrilled audiences all over the world.

ITOSHIMA NIJO KIZUNA DAIKO

ITOSHIMA NIJO KIZUNA DAIKO is the performance group of Japanese drums consisted of 40 players from ITOSHIMA city Fukuoka. The players have performed not only at local events, but have also participated and have been awarded in many international festivals abroad. The group has participated in every Japan youth contest, every year and have been awarded many times as well as in countries like: Italy, France, Singapore.

Kuzeyin Usaklari

“Kuzeyin Usaklari” Folk Dance Group, Ankara, Turkey have been performing dance activities since the year 2003.
In their social projects performed on the basis of voluntariness, the folk dances and music activities are used as specific means to develop a sharing team spirit and personal working discipline and to form personal and group responsibility understanding.
“Kuzeyin Usaklari” Folk Dance Group has been highly appreciated and admired by performing in many shows and festivals in Turkey and abroad. They strictly keep the turkish culture alive in its original form.
“Kuzeyin Usaklari” Folk Dance Group had the honor of being the first and only folk dances association taking part in the 2011 finals of “Turkish Talent”, breaking rating records in turkish televisions.

FOLKLORE GROUP “ALMA GUARANI” – Paraguay

Folklore Group “Alma Guarani” has formed out of 25 people with the objective to rescue, maintain and disseminate dances, customs, traditions, music and traditions of the Paraguayan people.
Based on rural festivals in each dance there is a love game between male and female dancers.

Their repertoire ranges from the national dance of Paraguay “POLKA” to traditional dances of individual couples, plus dances where only women or men only dance, highlighting traditional folk choreography.
The presentation of the group is exclusively with live music, either with string instruments like guitar or harp as well as wind and percussion band.

In more than a decade the group has participated and has been awarded in many international folk festivals all around the world, in countries like: the Netherlands, Germany, Croatia, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Swiss, Belgium, France, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

Academy of Dance and Music of Mallorca

The Academy of Dance and Music of Mallorca is a non-profit organisation which aims to study, document, teach, diffuse, and encourage the elements of Mallorcan popular and traditional culture, focusing on dance, music, musical instruments and dress.

Throughout the years the Academy of Dance and Music of Mallorca has participated in numerous cultural events in Mallorca, with the collaboration of the city council in various programmes of folkloric performances. It has also performed, and continues to do so, for the various cultural and social organisations on their island. Since 1987 the school assists with the organisation of the biennial World Folkloric Festival which takes place in Palma. In recent years the school has collaborated with the Balear Institute of Tourism, IBATUR, and the city council with interactive performances in Palma’s municipal theatres. The group has participated and has been awarded in festivals in many countries all over the world like: Italy, Germany, Turkey, Poland.

Folk Dance Ensemble “Mangilik”

The dance ensemble “Mangilik” was created in October 2017 under the North Kazakhstan Regional Philharmonic Society. Today there are 23 concert performances in the repertoire of the ensemble. This is a diverse, bright palette of dances of peoples living in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In July 2018 in Astana, the ensemble won the Grand Prix and the title of laureate of the X International Shattyk Festival. In November 2018, “Mangilik” won the 1st place and the title of laureate of the XXI International Festival of Creative Youth “Shabyt” in Astana.
